1. Who I am
I am Candace Brooke Watermeyer, trading as CBW Trading, a sole trader based in Scotland. I run Reset EFT (one-to-one coaching) and Heal with Solace (digital heartbreak resources). I am the data controller for the personal information described here, and I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZC242966). You can contact me at [email protected] or [email protected].
2. What information I collect
- Your details: your name, email address and anything you send me. If you join my email list, I use your email address to send you the emails you chose.
- Purchases: what you bought, when, and your country. Stripe handles your payment details and I never see your full card number.
- Coaching: if you are a coaching client, the answers on your intake form, my session notes and anything you choose to share with me. This can include information about your health and wellbeing, which I treat as sensitive. I only ask for what I need.
- Free tools: I don't store what you enter in Dear Heart. Your first name and message are sent to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to write your letter. Anthropic deletes them automatically within 30 days, or later if its safety systems or the law require. Please don't include anything you would not want an AI service to see. The Heartbreak Care Pack quiz does not store your answers.
- Messages and feedback: anything you send me, including testimonials, which I only use with your written permission.
- Website use: basic information about how the website is used, such as the pages you visit, through cookies (see section 11).
3. Why I use it, and my legal basis
- To provide what you bought or asked for (contract).
- To keep financial records and meet tax and legal duties (legal obligation).
- To send you emails you've signed up for (your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To answer questions, keep my systems secure and improve my products (my legitimate interests).
- For health information you share in coaching, I rely on your explicit consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
4. Who I share it with
I use trusted service providers to run my businesses, and they handle your information only on my instructions. They include providers for payments and tax, my course platform, email, secure online file storage and productivity tools, website hosting, AI services (such as the one that writes Dear Heart letters), and secure online tools for coaching, such as booking and keeping records. I never sell your information. I may share it if the law requires me to, or to protect someone's safety.
For Heal with Solace purchases, Stripe's Managed Payments service (shown as "Sold through Link") is the seller of record. It collects your payment and tax details and is responsible for them under its own privacy notice.
5. AI assistant in my course platform
My course platform, Teachery, provides an AI assistant that only I and anyone I invite to help run my account can use. It is never shown to you, it never answers you, and it acts only on my instructions.
When I use the assistant, my message, anything I attach to it, and a summary of my Teachery account are sent to Teachery's own AI model, which runs the assistant on my behalf. That summary lists my most recent buyers, each with their name, email address and what they bought. Where I ask the assistant about a particular customer, that customer's name, email address and purchase history go to Teachery too. Teachery has told me it does not use any of it to train AI models.
6. Information sent outside the UK
Some of my providers are based or store information outside the UK. Where that happens, your information is protected by the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
7. How long I keep it
I keep your information only for as long as I need it for the reasons above, including any period that tax law or my insurance requires. Coaching records are stored securely and deleted when I no longer need them.
8. Your rights
You can ask me to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, limit how I use it, move it to another provider, or stop using it for certain purposes. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email me. If you are unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would always like the chance to put things right first.
9. Keeping it safe
I use secure, reputable services and limit who can see your information. No system is completely secure, so please be careful what you share and use a strong, unique password for any account with me.
10. Age
My services are for people aged 18 and over.
11. Cookies
My websites use cookies that are essential for them to work, and may use others to understand how they are used. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings.
12. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.
